Year 2 Parent Reading Morning

Due to the success of our previous reading mornings, we are delighted to inform you that we will be hosting a regular parent reading morning in Year 2. This will take place every Tuesday morning at 8:55am – 9:25am. Please enter through the Cann Hall gate entrance where you will be shown where to go. There will be refreshments provided. 

During this session you will be shown some helpful hints and tips by your child’s class teacher, whilst also reading with your child. The children will have their reading book or you can bring in a favourite story from home. Alternatively, there will be lots of other books available in the classroom to choose from too.   

We appreciate the huge amount of reading you already do with your children at home which contributes greatly to their success and progress. But we feel it is very valuable for the children to have an opportunity to share their learning with you at school.  

We understand that not all parents will be able to attend, therefore we would appreciate it if another family member could attend if possible. Children whose parents are not able to attend will have a story time with the teacher or support staff.
