Buxton students and staff are delighted to have achieved 59% A*- C in English and Maths. Our results show good attainment and very strong progress; again demonstrating how well students perform at Buxton School.
Executive Headteacher, Kath Wheeler, said, “ I am really pleased to see all of the hard work and dedication of our students and staff pay off once again. Our inclusive approach has allowed young people of all ability levels to excel and achieve the grades needed to progress in their education. This is just the beginning of their life journey and Buxton School has provided firm foundations for their futures. Our top male achieved 7A*s and 5A grades, while our top female achieved 3 A* and 6 A grades, with the top 10 achieving 7-12 A and A* grades; a fabulous achievement. We wish all of our students the very best as they move on to college and university, or apprenticeships. The life chances of so many have been enhanced by the transformational work achieved by exceptional effort from both students and staff.
In March 2013 Ofsted said, ‘Leaders check its (teaching) quality regularly to be sure that students are learning as well as possible.’ Again these results confirm their findings!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made these results so spectacular – governors, teachers, parents, carers and especially the pupils themselves whose hard work and dedication we have been so proud to support.
With every year group out performing their targets, we look forward to continued strong performance in the future.”
