Buxton School – A Community Hub

Buxton School achieved “Extended Schools Full Core Offer Status” in 2007.  This means that we successfully provide a range of additional activities for young people, families and the wider community before, during and beyond the school day.

We are committed to working with the community to deliver the activities which are most useful and provide additional the relevant support. It is intended that part of the All-Through School’s role will be to become a centre/hub for the community and a place where everyone can learn.

Our current offer includes;

  • Open from early till late, 6 days a week and 50 weeks a year
  • Accessible for sports facilities
  • Accommodation for family learning
  • A hub for other services and agencies
  • Able to provide meeting rooms for parents
