On Tuesday 24th May the EMA Department took a group of Year 7, 8 and 9 EAL pupils went on a reward trip for working hard and attending either the Rosetta Stone Club, Homework Club, Reading Club or in some cases all three.
The trip was to visit many of the top tourist attractions in central London. We started at Green Park and walked down to Buckingham Palace and then up the Mall to see changing of the guard. After that amazing spectacle of English pageantry we walked down Whitehall and had a look in at 10, Downing Street. It was then on to Westminster Bridge Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Once over the bridge and onto the South Bank we passed the London Eye and stopped in a park to eat our lunch. We then proceeded to walk all along the South Bank down to the Tate modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre before crossing the millennium Bridge and taking in St Paul’s. The trip was a great success and staff and pupils alike enjoyed the day and the opportunity to see many of the places they had been learning about.
