One after the other they poured in! Masterpiece after masterpiece. This year our annual Easter Egg Decorating competition reached new levels in creativity with 188 entries! There were eggs in all shapes and sizes using the widest range of materials ever seen. Some eggs were set in scenes resembling the sea, a rainforest, church, court room, garden or jungle. Others stood on their own displaying clever use of felt tip pen, beads, seeds, marbling and other paint techniques. As for humour, there was lots of it. Haydar’s (Year 3) rabbit with huge feet and ears put a smile on many faces as did Ramin’s model of Mrs Broadbent and Mrs Wheeler! Right from Nursery to Year 6 the entrants showed lots of creativity and clearly they had a lot of fun. Also this year the competition was opened up to staff, with two members of staff producing decorations that can be eaten! Sadly there’s very little left of their creations as not only did they look good they tasted delicious too. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the parents for supporting the children in this. It clearly took a lot of time and effort but we hope you enjoyed it as well. Judging the competition was extremely difficult and needed a team of judges from across the school to do this. There was one comment that was echoed throughout the day by many children and staff. ‘Miss I think they are all amazing!’ I agree! Once again a huge thank you, have an enjoyable Easter!
